In addition to reimbursing you for covered expenses you incur to correct a covered identity theft loss, Home and Highway’s identity theft expense coverage provides you with a knowledgeable and caring personal advocate to guide you through the restoration process from start to finish.

If you’re a Home and Highway policyholder with identity theft expense coverage and believe you’re a victim of identity theft, simply call DirectConnect™ toll free at 1-877-922-5246. Your West Bend claim rep will verify your Home and Highway’s identity theft expense coverage, establish a claim, and connect you to a personal advocate at Identity Theft 911.

The Identity Theft 911 personal advocate will provide the expert help you’ll need to:

  • File police reports;
  • Create fraud victim affidavits;
  • Create a comprehensive case file that provides assistance with law enforcement officials;
  • Notify government agencies like the U.S. Postal Service, Passport Services Offices, Social Security Administration, and Department of Motor Vehicles;
  • Prepare all documents and make the phone calls necessary to notify credit grantors;
  • Place fraud alerts with credit bureaus, close accounts that have been compromised, add passwords to accounts;
  • Deal with debt collectors, if necessary;
  • Monitor credit to identify fraudulent activity and provide periodic reports of changes to credit information, including sending an alert if suspicious activity is detected; and
  • Monitor more than 400 databases, like your state’s DMV, to identify where someone is trying to use or change personal information such as a Social Security number or home address.
You’ll also have a full year of active follow-up to judge the effectiveness of the fraud resolution and to detect possible recurrent fraud.
